LEED® Certification:

With more than a million square feet (SF) of LEED® certified space to its credit, and another million SF of registered projects in process of certification, Newman Consulting Group is among the most experienced LEED consultants in the Midwest.

LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is an internationally-recognized, third-party certification system for green and sustainable buildings. Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), LEED provides building owners and operators with a rating system for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions.

Some of the services for LEED Certification we provide include:

  • LEED Consultant

  • LEED Project Manager

  • Other Service Provider: energy audits, application assistance

Newman Consulting Group has successfully shepherded more than a dozen commercial building projects through the highly technical and very detailed LEED green building certification process, earning multiple silver, gold and platinum level rankings. See the list of LEED projects here.

Our team consists of highly skilled energy auditors, architects, engineers and even LEED reviewers. Experience may cost a little more up front, but our carefully selected team will save time, effort and most importantly, money in the life of the project and the life of the building.

Whether you are considering LEED for New Construction, Existing Buildings, Commercial Interiors or Neighborhood Development, you will find value in working with an experienced team like Newman Consulting Group. LEED promotes sustainable building and development practices through a suite of rating systems that recognize projects that implement strategies for better environmental and health performance. The LEED rating systems, point-based, are developed through an open, consensus-based process.  There are 4 levels of building certification: Certified, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Successive levels are attained by higher numbers of points in 5 basic areas: Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy and Atmosphere, Materials and Resources, and Indoor Environmental Quality.
