Green Building Blog

Recently I spoke at the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA) 40^th national conference that was held in Detroit. I was there representing the Detroit Regional Chapter of the US Green Building Council, and was pleased to see how many of those attending were LEED Accredited Professionals. It says a lot about how important green building principles are becoming in all areas of building and construction.

James L. “Jim” Newman, owner and managing partner of Newman Consulting Group, LLC (NCG) in Farmington Hills, Mich., received the Distinguished Service Award from ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) at the organization's Annual Conference held recently in San Antonio, TX.
